MAGNET kit

Follow MOE curriculum

Experiments

  1. Classify magnetic materials and non-magnetic materials
  2. Identify that the strongest magnetic force is on both ends of the magnet
  3. Identify the poles of a unknown magnet
  4. Compare magnetic strength
  5. Free suspension magnet will always rest in the North-South direction
  6. Set up magnetic levitation
  7. Magnetize the nail by using the stroking method
  8. Magnetize the nail by using the electric method

* Instruction booklet is provided.

cycle of life kit

Follow MOE curriculum

Experiments

1. Investigate green bean germination and compare the different stages of seed germination over a  period of time

2. DIY life cycle models to compare different life cycles of animals and plant  (Butterfly, mosquito, frog, ladybug, dragonfly and mango)

* Instruction booklet is provided.

Heat and light kit

Follow MOE curriculum

Experiments

1. Gain and lose heat (heat flows from a hotter to a   colder place)

2. Effect of heat loss - ice cubes melting

3. Effect of heat gain - Air expands when heat is   gained and contract when heat is lost

4. Good and poor conductors of heat

5. Light always travels in straight line

6. Opaque object casts a darker shadow

7. Same object may cast different shapes of shadow

8. Unlike objects may cast the same shape of shadow

9. The height of a shadow can be changed by adjusting   the position of the light source

10. The height of a shadow can be changed by adjusting   the position of the object

* Instruction booklet is provided.

ice Melting blocks

An interesting experiment of exploring the difference in heat conductivity in different materials.

Kit consists of

1 Aluminium block -1 pc

2 Plastic block - 1 pc

3 O-ring - 2 pieces

4 Instruction manual - 1

Experiments

1, Let students to hold the blocks, ask them which block feels colder.

2, Place an ice cube on each of the two blocks at room temperature and watch as one ice cube melts faster.

* Instruction manual is provided.
